When planning your wedding, your hairstyle may seem like an insignificant detail. However, if you are the groom and you would like your bride to have her eyes only for you – then you should try to look your best. You wouldn’t to have unkempt hair and a scraggly beard on your wedding day, would you?
There is actually no need to worry because wedding hairstyles for men are not as complicated as women’s. If you absolutely cannot let go of your long hair, all you have to do is go for a clean look on your wedding day.
If you have shorter hair, there is a variety of styles that you can go for – just choose one which will look good on you as you wear that suit and wait for your bride to walk down the aisle on your wedding day.
If you’ve always had a barber cut your hair for ages, why not try visiting
Studio 404? We are up-to-date and experimental when it comes to the latest men’s hairstyles. Here’s just a few of the wedding hairstyles for men that you can choose from:
1. A textured haircut.
When you go for a textured cut, it means that the length of your hair will vary, depending on the shape of your face. When you ask for this type of haircut from a salon, make sure to do it months before your wedding so that you can decide whether or not it is suitable.
Another good thing about a textured cut is that you can use a variety of hair products to try on different looks.
2. A haircut which is set close to the skull.
If you have a good, evenly shaped head, then you can go for the ‘clean’ look which is cut close to the head.
3. A classic, conservative haircut.
A classic cut is exactly what the name implies – the classic barber’s cut where the sideburns and the back are kept quite short.

For all the grooms-to-be out there, here are a few useful tips that you need to remember when preparing your hairstyle for your wedding day:
- The key is to look good – and feel comfortable on your wedding day. If you would like to experiment with a different hair style, try it months before the wedding. This way, you can decide which one looks good on you.
- A wedding hairstyle for a man need not be complicated, dull or unflattering. A good haircut should be easy to style. It should also flatter the shape of your face and your head well.
- Try looking at magazines and look at the different wedding hairstyles for men which you think would suit you.

rour best on your wedding day.
Hair Care
If you don't normally pay much attention to your hair then this is the time to start. First think about the style, then get a good cut about a month before the wedding day, followed by a trim at least a week and a half before. This will leave enough time for the cut to settle. To get your hair into good condition use a good shampoo - one that suits your hair type - and a moisturising conditioner, which will give it added shine. On the day of your wedding, once washed and styled, use a light hairspray or gel- no one will know and your style will stay in place all day.
What about untidy ebrows? If this is something you can't bear to do yourself, you can have any straggling hairs plucked out and have your eyebrows thinned to give them a better shape. Also, don't forget the all too embarrassing nasal and ear hair. Although this is something no one likes to admit to having, they are an unfortunate fact of life, and their removal is a must for good grooming. Have your treatments no more than a few days before the wedding, as they will only need doing again.
Skin Care
You should think about a regular skincare routine before the day of your wedding to make sure you look your best. This doesn't need to be anything time consuming or involved. Here are my top tips:
Drink plenty of water during
the day (up to eight glasses), to prevent dehydration
and to assist in the elimination of toxins from the
body, which helps reduce spots.
Cleanse your skin thoroughly every day, using either a cream, or warm water and mild
facial wash. Pat your face dry and avoid pulling the
fine skin around your eyes.
Shave after a shower or bath because this leaves your beard soft and easier to cut. Never use a razor blade more than five times. A blunt blade will cause irritation.
After shaving, use a
moisturiser, which incorporates a sunscreen with a sun
protective factor (SPF) of at least 15. This will also
protect your skin from the drying effects of the wind
and ultraviolet light from the sun. It is widely believed
that the aging of skin can be significantly delayed by
the daily use of SPF15 sunscreen.
During your morning routine,
massage your face and neck with your fingertips to
stimulate circulation and boost overall skin tone.
Avoid touching your face too
much during the day as this can spread bacteria from your hands. Squeezing blemishes can cause scarring.
Smooth Skin
A thorough wet
shave on the morning of the wedding will ensure smooth skin
for the entire day. For the best results, start by splashing
your face with hot water to open up the pores and make your
skin more supple. Then apply the shaving foam to ensure the
foam works its way into the pores. Once the foam is applied
leave it on for a minute to let it soak in.
When shaving, it
is important to apply strokes in the direction of hair growth
particularly the neck, which is often more sensitive than your
face. Begin shaving along your jaw line and cheeks followed by
the neck, around the mouth and then the chin. Afterwards,
rinse your face with cold water to close the pores and then
apply a good moisturising lotion. If you take your time to
shave properly you shouldn't cut yourself, but if you do,
press a cotton ball soaked in cold water onto the cut. The
pressure will stop the bleeding and the cold water will help
close the cut and stop the bleeding within a minute or
two.
